The EYC (Episcopal Youth Community) is a thriving ministry involving the youth of our parish and community. The path of discipleship in which we follow Jesus is a life-long journey; EYC is a great way to begin or continue on that journey for the youth of St. Francis.
The EYC is a group with a strong sense of community, a heart for service, and a place for fun to be had by all. Everyone is welcome and hospitality towards guests and new members is something we value greatly. Our time together is often spent deepening our faith, serving others, and spending time in Christian fellowship. We generally meet Sunday evenings during the fall and spring semesters at St. Mike’s (a building on our campus).
Please check our calendar for the most up to date events.
Our regular meetings run from 5:30pm-7:00pm, with dinner served (provided by parents and church members).

Participating in Diocesan-wide youth events is an important aspect of EYC at St. Francis. In attending these events, we are enriched by what is going on outside of our parish, and we have the opportunity to share God’s love and grace which we find in our own youth program. These events include Happening, Bishop's Ball, and Genesis.
Please visit the Diocesan Youth site http://www.episdioncyouth.org for more information.
Each summer the youth of St. Francis work as the hands and feet of God in the world. One of our most anticipated events each year is the mission trip. There is a separate trip for both middle and high school students. These mission trips are not only a time to serve others but are also times to reflect upon our faith and grow closer to one another and to God.
Our Middle School mission trip is a local service experience, where our students serve our community. We have served at Greensboro Urban Ministry, Servant Farm, the Interactive Resource Center, Hot Dish and Hope, and Neighbors Under the Bridge, to name a few! This local mission experience shows our students the needs in our own community and allows us to show the love of Christ to our neighbors right here in Greensboro.
The High School mission trip is spent at Glory Ridge, serving in Madison County, one of the poorest counties in our state. Our work projects range from painting rooms, constructing handicap ramps, re-roofing homes, and other general home repair work. We partner with the Community Housing Coalition of Madison County, in an effort to meet the needs of impoverished families in the community. This mission trip strives to truly "Make Work Worship" and live into Christ's calling for each of us.
