What parents are saying about our school.

We truly could not imagine a better experience for our children.

The leadership of Rae and Kit has been an outstanding advancement for the Day School. They accomodate the needs of parents as well as the students. For example, they have created a drop-off program where students can attend on days that they are not normally scheduled, should parents have other appointments. The School will also be starting a toddler program next year, which my youngest son, Jacob, will attend. Further, the entire staff has been extremely dedicated to understanding the needs of Ethan, who has a severe nut allergy, allowing Ethan to feel truly safe in his school. With respect to atmosphere, it is now a relaxing, enjoyable environment in which children may grow, both socially and academicallly.

I believe parents will be drawn to the smaller child/teacher ratio, the new toddler program, the flexible scheduling, as well as the wonderful environment in which their children will thrive. There are great things in store for the Day School.

I must say I could not be happier!

Cam loves to come to school and eagerly tells his older sisters, "Me get go school today!" Rae, Kit, and all the teachers have created such a warm, loving, welcoming, happy environment. Cam is just thriving. Cam is in Miss Betsy and Miss Cindy’s class. He comes home singing songs and says, "My teachers taught me that." He is so proud of all his art work. I’ve been impressed by the creativity in all the projects which manage to look special yet clearly involve his work, rather than just being done for him. The classroom environment is bright and stimulating, yet organized and orderly. Cam feels attached to all the teachers and staff, as well as all his "friends".

We are very pleased with their school readiness skills and love of reading!

My husband and I are thrilled with the many opportunities that our children have been exposed to while attending St. Francis Day School. We enrolled Grady and Georgia when they were two in an effort to increase independance and self-confidence. Now in their second year at St. Francis, they are excited about school and more likely to take part in new things within our community. Both children ask daily, "Mom, do we get to go to school today?" At drop off, they are quick to run off to play with their friends. Grady and Georgia both understand what skills they must display when sitting in 'circle'. They are now better able to wait their turn when playing, etc. We are very pleased with their school readiness skills and love of reading! During storytime at home, both kids are able to make predictions and use context clues to identify the meaning of a new word.

Their language usage is impressive. Grady and Georgia are willing to use large words in conversation and very often do so correctly. Finally, they know their numbers and one to one correspondance and they are beginning to successfully identify many letters and their corresponding sounds. St. Francis has been an invaluable part of Grady and Georgia's toddler and pre-school years. As a family we are very grateful for all you do for kids!

Sincerely,
