Each summer the youth of St. Francis works as the hands and feet, the hearts and tongues of God in the world. One of our most anticipated events each year is the mission trip. There is a separate trip for both the middle and high school students. The mission trip is not only a time to serve others, but is a time to reflect upon our faith and grow closer to each other and to God.
For the past several years we have worked with the United Methodist Relief Center in Charleston, South Carolina working on many projects including roofing, paint houses, installing siding, digging foundations and many other home repair projects. It is a time to play hard and to work hard. The youth often comment that though their work is often a blessing to those in need, the experience of the mission trip is a true blessing in their lives as well.
