Letter From Senior Warden

I extend a warm welcome to you from St. Francis Episcopal Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. We are an active and lively congregation striving to live and minister according to the Franciscan traditions of simplicity, compassion, and hope. Our spiritual community is open and receiving to all who seek to know and worship God and serve others in the spirit of the Christ.

Over 800 members call St. Francis "home." The celebration of the Eucharist is basic to most of our worship services. Other activities of the church include educational programs, social gatherings, and a variety of ministries that provide a myriad of opportunities to grow spiritually and care for those in our church family, our community, and beyond.

Under the direction of our Rector, Reverend Michael Moulden, 2010 is a year of building support and growth. We are building support for the many programs and ministries both from a financial and staffing perspective because our strengths lie with our parishioners and their ability to move St. Francis forward. With this increased support and growth come even more opportunities for parishioners to get involved and contribute to the "community".

St. Francis is widely known in the area for its beautiful setting and gardens on Lawndale Drive, for its exceptional Day School and for its annual gigantic book sale (April 29 – May 1, 2010), all proceeds of which are dedicated to outreach ministries. Feel free to explore our website and then come and see for yourself what a special community of friends and believers we are! If you have questions, I encourage you to contact me by telephone or email.

Faithfully yours,
Ross Cox
