St. Francis participates as part of the “Greensboro Eight (G8),” eight Episcopal parishes cooperating to build a Habitat for Humanity house. In August, work began on a house on Shirley Lane. Collectively, we’ve raised $60,000 to build the house. And typically, we meet every Saturday at the worksite to build the house.
We meet between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and after a short devotion begin work at 8:00. Lunch is provided. The workday ends at 3:00 PM.
No experience is needed to volunteer. And you’re welcome to help out for an hour, a day or for the duration of the project.
To volunteer, call Larry Phillips at 317-0558;
Paul Kilmartin at 218-0301; or Amelia Deaton at 676-1533.
