St. Francis Episcopal Church
Adult Forum Information

The Adult Forum is a time for adult parishioners to gather for coffee and conversation along with presentations by speakers—both church members and outside guests.  Topics address current events and issues of interest to our parishioners.

The Sunday Morning Adult Forum

On Sunday, September 20th, we begin our fall series for Christian Formation for all ages at 9:15 am.

The first forum will be a report about General Convention and a discussion of what some of the resolutions mean to us at St. Francis as well as the direction the Church is moving. We will look at our relationship with the rest of the Anglican Communion and how several issues regarding sexuality and gender are affecting us.

I will share with you information that Bishop Curry gave to the clergy at an excellent meeting this summer after convention. A lot has been reported that was either distorted or incorrect. I learned some things not only about convention, but about our Episcopal identity and polity that I did not know regarding these issues and our common life together.

This is an important topic and I want us to be as informed as possible. I urge you to attend and to participate in this class.
